Ioana Băltan: Load-Bearing — Tate Modern Turbine Hall Commission (excerpt)

An excerpt from the documentation of Ioana Băltan’s Turbine Hall Commission at Tate Modern, London, November 2024.

The work, titled *Load-Bearing*, filled the vast space of the Turbine Hall with a web of galvanised steel cable and woven rubber cord, creating a structure that appeared simultaneously precarious and load-bearing — a monument to the invisible labour that holds things together.
