Justin O’Brien

Justin O’Brien (b. 1980, Chicago) is a painter working primarily in oil on canvas. His densely layered compositions engage with the history of American abstraction while remaining rooted in the specificity of physical sensation. He studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
